Gayane Hayrapetyan, whose husband was wounded last week as a bus transporting volunteers from Sisian came under Azeri fire on the way to Martakert, came out of the hospital ward with a smile on her face. Her husband, Varazdat Simonyan, had come out of the coma, opened his eye and started breathing independently.
“He does not speak yet but he took my hand in his hands, looked at my face and recognized me,” Gayane Hayrapetyan said.
The yard of the Central Military Clinical Hospital was again overcrowded today. Volodya Bashikyan had come to visit his son’s friend,Gevorg Khudoyan, who had been wounded in Jabrail. “He has been in hospital for a year, he was operated on and already feels better.”
The father of contract serviceman Sasun Mikaelyan, says his son’s condition is improving. The 38-year-old sodier even wants to return to the military positions.
Thirty-eight people remain in the hospital following the heavy clashes of April 2-5.
