The aim of the meeting was to discuss new methods in fighting against transnational crime used by European Customs services. The officials also learned about the work of the Latvian customs and State Border Guard, their tasks, responsibilities and competences, operation of mobile groups, corruption issues, risk analyses for identification of new trends of transnational criminal activities and much more.
The workshop was organized as part of the EU-funded project on ‘Provision of Equipment and Infrastructure for the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo border crossing point between Armenia and Georgia and enhancement of their capacities’.
